Passenger Pigeon, extinct, formerly occurred, probably as a winter visitant, no definite dates are known. A Mr. E. A. Lawrence, of Pensacola, and old man when I knew him in 1934, told me that he well remembered having seen large flocks of the "wild pigeons" within a few miles of Pensacola. He could not place the date nearer than 1883 or 1884, and he admitted that it could have been several years later.
