For over 40 years I have kept and bred many species exotic doves, from small ground doves to large Victoria Crowned Pigeons. However in recent years I have reduced my collection considerably and now I keep only to a selection of doves that I have come to really like.

I NO LONGER HAVE A LARGE COLLECTION OF EXOTIC DOVES. ON THE LIST BELOW THOSE MARKED ** ARE THE ONLY DOVES I STILL KEEP AND BREED.

The Luzon Bleeding Heart dove is probably my single most favorite species, they are very attractive. The first Bleeding heart I purchased in 1973 lived for over 27 years.

Many of the other rare doves that I keep are slow to mature and to breed; however, they can be quite productive, some pairs raising several clutches per year for many, many years, well in to their teens! We have a lot of success, which I assure you has come gradually over 25 years of breeding doves. Other doves which I particularly enjoy are the Luzon Bleeding Heart Doves, Golden Heart, CelebesYellow Breasted, New Guinea Pheasant Pigeons and Greenwing(photo of unknown origin). They are all very colorful and beautiful doves. I do not consider many of these birds to be suitable for the beginner. People who often begin with a rare, hard to breed dove become quickly discouraged and before you know it they quite and sold the birds.

Of the doves that would recommend for a beginner are, Diamond Dove, Zebra Dove, Austrailian Crested Dove, Greenwing , and there are other varieties of turtle doves that would recommend too such as Dwarf Turtle Dove and European Turtle dove.

Don't hesitate to email me if you want information about a particular type of dove, even though I dont have many any more I am always glad to talk about them and even help you find others who do have them for sale.

I have an extinct Passenger Pigeon

Those marked with and (**) are THE ONLY birds that I still have and offer for for sale. If you are interested in purchasing any exotic doves please see my Exotic Dove Price List.
